Teaching
My teaching is grounded in the belief that scenography is both an artistic practice and a form of spatial research. I create a classroom environment where students explore ideas through design, experimentation, and collaboration.
Each student brings a unique perspective, and my role is to guide them in developing their creative voice while building the conceptual and technical skills required of contemporary theatre designers.
Learning in my courses happens through making. Students develop ideas through sketches, models, digital environments, and collaborative discussion. This process helps them understand how design communicates story, space, and atmosphere.
My teaching integrates professional practice with emerging technologies. Students work with digital tools such as SketchUp, Vectorworks, and visualization software to explore spatial storytelling and communicate their designs clearly. I encourage experimentation with new technologies, including artificial intelligence, as part of the research and concept development process.
Through collaborative studio projects and critical reflection, students learn to think creatively, work collectively, and approach design as an evolving research practice.
Sample Syllabi
This section presents selected syllabi from Digital Design Techniques courses. The courses focus on integrating digital tools into scenic and spatial design practice. Students learn to develop design concepts through research, 3D modeling, digital visualization, and rendering workflows that support contemporary performance design.
